Support Worker – Rotherwood
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated udf to provide safe, consistent support to young adults experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their accommodation. This role is based in Burnley.
Base Pay RangeBank Support Worker – Young Adults Homeless Shelter

Salary: £12.21
Hours:
Bank casual work
Days & nights available
Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance
Contract:
As and when required
- Experience supporting young adults with complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse, and behavioural challenges
- Ability to work safely in high‑pressure and crisis situations
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plans and safeguarding protocols
- Resilience, reliability, and commitment to providing high‑quality care
- Due to the nature of personal care and safeguarding requirements, this post is restricted to women only (Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010)
- Provide safe, consistent support to young adults experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their accommodation
- Deliver person‑centred care and emotional support during periods of crisis
- Assist with daily living tasks, life skills, and activities to promote independence
- Maintain accurate records and work collaboratively with colleagues
- Promote safety, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for all residents
