Health & Social Care Foundations

Caring, compassionate and committed are all qualities needed to care for people. If you have a passion for making a difference to the lives of others in all walks of life, this could be the start of your professional journey. The course will help you develop both academically and professionally, allowing you to understand the underpinning skills of the healthcare profession.

You will use a range of assessment methods aimed at linking the theory to the practice. There is a strong emphasis on working with others and the importance of effective communication, both with other professionals and service users.

3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including Science or a relevant Level 1 qualification.

All units are assessed internally in line with the CACHE assessment principles.

You may progress onto a Level 3 Health and Social Care, T Level in Health and Specialise in Supporting the Adult Nursing Team, Supporting the Care of Children and Young Peoples Settings or Supporting the Midwifery Team or a Themis Apprenticeship.

Enjoy seminars and workshops led by guest speakers andengage in activities bring your learning to life and help you achieve your ambitions. Past and planned activities have included fundraising for local charities and team building exercises within our community.
