This role is based in a large, two‑form entry primary school in Burnley
, known for its welcoming team and strong community ethos. The school is easily accessible by both car and public transport

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join the school from after February half‑term until the end of the academic year
. This is a full‑time teaching role within a supportive Key Stage 1 team.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Year 2 / KS1 curriculum
• Support pupils’ progress and preparation for KS1 assessments/SATs
• Use effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment
• Differentiate activities to meet varied learning needs
• Track pupil progress and keep accurate assessment records
• Work collaboratively with the KS1 team and wider staff
• Uphold the school’s safeguarding commitment and values

• Qualified Teacher Status (
  QTS
  )
• Strong experience in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2

• Ability to build a positive, inclusive classroom culture
• Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
