Teaching Personnel is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a welcoming primary school in Burnley
. The position is to start as soon as possible and will involve providing one-to-one and small-group support for children with additional learning, communication, and behavioural needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is patient, supportive, and dedicated to helping children overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
- Assist with the delivery of targeted interventions
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional well-being
- Support communication, social interaction, and personal development
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENDCo
- Record and monitor pupil progress as required
- Previous experience working with children (particularly in SEND, care, or support roles)
- Calm, empathetic and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, Childcare, Health & Social Care) desirable but not essential
- Competitive weekly pay through PAYE

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
