Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established contractor specialising in commercial construction and maintenance works. The role will involve pricing a range of new build and refurbishment projects across Lancashire, typically up to £1m in value.

Key Requirements:

5 Years Experience in Estimating

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial new build and refurbishment projects typically valued between £200k-£1m.
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce detailed take-offs and pricing breakdowns.
Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive and compliant submissions.
Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to clarify technical and commercial queries.
Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving options during the tender stage.
Produce and submit professional tender documentation and supporting reports.
Maintain and update estimating software and internal cost databases (strong computer literacy essential).
Attend pre-start and handover meetings to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to delivery.
