Nekem Packaging, part of the Lendlock Group, is looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to play a key role in accelerating our growth strategy.

The Role

You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building a strong pipeline, and converting prospects into long-term commercial partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and target new markets, sectors, and growth opportunities
  • Develop relationships with cold, warm, and existing leads
  • Engage key decision-makers and present tailored packaging solutions
  • Manage first orders from quotation through to delivery
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms
  • Maintain and grow an active sales pipeline
  • Deliver against new business and revenue targets
  • Attend exhibitions and industry events
  • Provide sales forecasting and performance analysis
  • Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Warehousing, and Accounts teams

About You

  • Proven experience in Sales / Business Development within a B2B environment
  • Commercially driven and motivated by winning new business
  • Organised, process-focused, and comfortable working under pressure
  • Confident communicator with strong verbal and written skills
  • Proactive, resilient, and energetic in your approach
  • Willing to travel across the UK as required (occasional overnight stays)
  • Full, clean UK driving licence

8:30 – 17:00 Monday – Thursday

8:30 – 15:00 Friday

0-1 Year 28 days (inc. 8 days national holiday)

1-3 Years 31 days (inc. 8 days national holiday)

3+ Years 33 days (inc. 8 days national holiday)
