At LSCFT we are passionate about providing high quality patient centred care. We are currently recruiting a forward thinking, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team within the East Lancashire Child and Adolescent Services Admin Team.
As a vital team member, you will provide excellent administration and communication skills and work flexibly in response to the service needs. You will provide day to day support whilst being the point of contact for the patients and clinical team.
You will have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, be computer literate and be able to use a variety of systems including Excel and Microsoft Office, possess excellent time management skills along with the ability to manage competing demands and priorities.
Main duties of the jobThe role of the Receptionist / Audio Typist will be to provide clerical and administrative support to the medical and secretarial team within Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Service East (CYPMH East). The post holder will spend some part of the week audio typing letters from the digital dictation system, and the rest rotating onto our reception area providing front line contact with our young people and families.
The role will involve processing and navigating urgent calls from the general public.
The post holder will require competency in general admin, keyboard skills, good communication and an ability to work well within a team. An ability to understand the need for and to maintain confidentiality is essential.

Person Specification Education / Qualifications- GCSE English at Grade 'C' or above or equivalent Working knowledge of basic IT systems - word, excel, emails.
- RSA/OCR Stage II Typewriting OR Word Processing Stage II or Audio typewriting Stage II or Proven ability of an equivalent level of skill.
- Ability to produce neat & accurate documentation
- Proven ability to manage priorities under pressure.
- Previous administrative experience.
