We have developed a ground-breaking medical device for the diagnosis and treatment of the most common heart rhythm disorder, atrial fibrillation – which can cause stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related complications.

We have obtained FDA approval and officially begun the commercial launch of the Globe® Pulsed Field System. This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life‑changing technology to patients! As a Software Tools Developer Co-op, you will help our software team develop intuitive, user‑friendly software for the Globe® Mapping and Ablation System and participate in software engineering support practices.

In addition, you will expand your programming skills and learn about software development in a regulated environment. Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Responsibilities
  • Developing automated tools to improve software productivity and reduce errors
  • Enhancing the development environment with automation and analysis tools
  • Updating the build system to support the selected tools
  • Working with developers to improve automated test coverage and code quality
Qualifications
  • A love of coding and a desire to learn more, with practical knowledge of an object‑oriented language such as C++, Java or C#
  • Previous programming experience in a co‑op or other work placement
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Well‑developed written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to succeed in self‑guided and team settings
