Quality Specialist – Burnaby, Vancouver, Calgary, Burlington or Toronto

We are looking for a highly organized and detail‑oriented individual to support our quality and compliance functions across mining projects.
AboutThe Role
- Develop compliance assessment tools and conduct audits at client sites using relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to requests related to standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare management system documentation, templates, plans, and procedures for internal and project use.
- Assist in achieving certifications and maintaining compliance with regulations in various provinces and states.
- Maintain and update documentation within the Ausenco Management System, including procedures, process maps, and templates.
- Conduct internal and external audits and compliance assessments, including on‑site reviews as required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience implementing quality systems based on ISO 9001, preferably in the mining sector across stages such as PFS, EPCM, Early Works, etc.
- Environmental engineering consulting experience desirable.
- Professional governance knowledge regarding engineering practice in Canada and the USA.
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification.
- Lean Six Sigma qualification and/or other ISO Lead Auditor certifications (ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018) considered an asset.
- Comfortable working within and understanding regulatory frameworks.
- Experience conducting internal and external audits.
- Availability to travel to client sites as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent conflict‑management and resolution skills, able to work effectively under pressure.
