Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiac Consult Services team at Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) in New Westminster, B.C. Given the specialized nature of this role, the Cardiac Consult NP (CC NP) model is a collaborative, co‑managed, team‑based approach to patient care, where the cardiologists remain MRP or consultant of the patients. As part of this rewarding role the NP works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a consultative capacity with a coordinated approach to ensure safe, quality, effective, and timely care for patients.

The NP will work Monday to Friday (7.5 hours/day) excluding weekends and statutory holidays.

RCH is conveniently located adjacent to the Sapperton Sky Train station on the Expo Line, making it easily accessible by public transit for both patients and staff.

RCH provides expert care to the province’s most seriously ill or injured. It also offers highly specialized acute care services such as tertiary trauma, cardiology, cardiac surgery, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, neurosurgery and vascular surgery that often require the care of multiple medical specialists and multidisciplinary teams with advanced equipment and technology.

Join us on an exciting project and make history. The Royal Columbian Hospital Redevelopment Project (RCHRP) is a multi‑year, multi‑phase initiative to increase the hospital's capacity, beds and services. Read more about Phase Two.

When the full redevelopment is complete, the people of British Columbia will have increased access to cardiac, trauma, mental health, maternity and neonatal intensive care units and beds.

New Westminster

New Westminster is known for its stunning waterfront views along the Fraser River, located on the north side of the river bordering several municipalities in each direction (Burnaby, Coquitlam, Surrey, and Delta), making it the centre of the Greater Vancouver region.
