Electrical Project Manager

Position Summary
Are you looking to lead talented teams in a dynamic industry? Sasco Contractors Ltd. is seeking a full-time project manager with electrical experience for our growing team in Burnaby. As a key member of the Projects team, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are successfully delivered and executed.

Sasco Contractors Ltd, serves the industrial, commercial, and institutional markets all over BC, specializing in distribution upgrades, commercial one-off new builds, tenant improvements, server rooms and data communication in "mission critical environments", complicated fire alarm upgrades, EV car charges, and electrical service and maintenance.

At Sasco we have a relationship-based focus with our customers. The ideal candidate will have confidence in building relationships with key customers and suppliers, and strong experience in electrical and/or fire alarm project management.

Key

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and manage project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure alignment with business objectives and timelines; includes contract review, participate in both job kick-off meetings and job post-mortem meetings, review of drawings, job site setup, job hazard assessments.

Coordinate cross-functional teams and maintain clear communications throughout the project life-cycle with the project teams;
Superintendents, Foremen, Coordinators, Division Managers, the accounting team, subcontractors and suppliers.

Develop and monitor project schedules, budget, project cash flow management and resource allocation.

Identify and mitigate risks; health & safety hazards, delays, and financial risks.

Prepare and present project status reports;
Work-In-Progress reports, health & safety reports, updates to the customer.

Foster a collaborative and results-driven environment promoting continuous improvement and team engagement.

Competency Requirements

Minimum of + 5 years experience in a Project Manager role, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within scope.

Red Seal certificate/ PMP or equivalent

Work experience in electrical construction or related

Microsoft Office 365 Products (Sharepoint, MS Excel)

Experience using Accubid (BW +, Pro, CO, Live Count), is an asset

Proficient user in Bluebeam, is an asset

Professional demeanor with fellow employees and customers

Good communication skills (verbal and written).

Eager to learn new skills and new best practices.
