What this role is all about:
The District Manager, Commercial Banking (CRE & Syndications) provides strategic leadership and oversight for multiple commercial portfolios within the district, ensuring operational excellence, portfolio growth, and superior member experience. This role drives business development, credit quality, and risk governance while championing digital transformation and fostering a high-performance culture aligned with Beem’s People First and Digital First vision. The District Manager partners with senior leadership to shape district strategies that influence enterprise priorities and deliver sustainable profitability.

Greater Vancouver

Vancouver Main

Fraser Valley & BC Interior

What you’ll do:

Leadership & Team Development

Lead and inspire commercial team members to achieve business objectives and deliver exceptional member experiences.

Foster a culture of collaboration, agility, accountability, and continuous improvement across the district.

Provide strategic mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to develop leadership capability and team effectiveness.

Strategic Portfolio Oversight

Oversee and optimize the district’s commercial portfolio, ensuring alignment with Beem’s credit and risk framework.

Monitor portfolio performance, profitability, operational efficiency, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Drive and support strategic initiatives for growth in their assigned commercial and syndicated lending segments.

Credit & Risk Governance

Contribute to the development and maintenance of regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with Beem’s risk management policies.

Collaborate with credit teams to maintain high-quality underwriting standards and mitigate risk exposure.

Review complex credit proposals and provide recommendations to senior leadership and to Credit Risk.

Business Development & Growth

Develop and execute district-level business development strategies to expand market share and attract new commercial clients.

Represent Beem at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.

Leverage digital tools and analytics and market insights to identify growth opportunities and improve member engagement.

What you’ll bring:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field required; MBA or professional designation preferred.

10+ years of experience in commercial banking, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple branches or teams.

Minimum 3–5 years of strong leadership experience, managing teams and driving initiatives.

Expert knowledge of commercial credit processes, risk governance, and compliance frameworks.

Proven track record in portfolio management, business development, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.

Advanced knowledge of commercial lending, syndicated loans, and risk management practices.

Your Total Rewards:
Compensation, Performance & Recognition

Annual salary range: $116,000 - $145,000
