Our client, one of Western Canada’s leading HVAC & Equipment distributors, is seeking a collaborative and hands‑on Controller to lead the finance function. This role oversees accounting, treasury, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while partnering closely with leadership and branch teams to support business objectives.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Manage bank compliance reporting and tax remittances
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Lead the annual budget process and physical inventory
• Drive process improvements and develop departmental KPIs
• Mentor and lead the Finance Team
• Liaise with external auditors and senior leadership

• Professional Accounting Designation required: CPA (CA, CGA, CMA)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (distribution or multi‑branch environment preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, and treasury management
• Supervisory experience with a collaborative leadership style
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) and Concur preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
