French Product Data Editor

Position: French Product Data Editor (Fixed-Term Opportunity)
You’ll collaborate closely with Product Data Management, Digital Retail and SEO teams to structure, validate, edit, and publish French product content (PDPs/SKUs), improve quality at scale, and support continuous optimization initiatives across  practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.
** What You’ll Do
*** Restructure and standardize French translation guidelines and terminology by product category (titles, descriptions, specifications), ensuring SEO and LLM relevance to maximize product discovery.
* Review, edit, and validate French SKUs in STEP, and collaborate with the Product Data Management team to optimize content structure and publishing workflows.
* Translate and localize French product copy for launches and marketing campaigns, ensuring accuracy and relevance for the Quebec market.
* Conduct large-scale audits of product data, identify systemic issues, and drive continuous improvements in translation workflows and content quality.
* Evaluate machine translation and generative AI outputs, provide structured feedback, and refine category-specific prompts and QA frameworks to improve quality at scale.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, maintain bilingual glossaries, and contribute to terminology governance and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
* Proofread and validate French digital assets, including web copy, emails, and other customer-facing content, as needed.

* ** Language expertise:
** Native-level French proficiency with excellent grammar, syntax, and vocabulary; fluent in English.
* ** Product & eCommerce focus:
** Strong attention to product detail, specifications, variants, and customer impact.
* ** Translation & copy-editing skills:
** Proven experience in translation, copy-editing, proofreading, and terminology management.
* ** Excel & batch skills:
** Comfortable working with spreadsheets to manage, analyze, and QA large volumes of SKU data.
* ** AI-curious mindset:
** Interest in learning or hands-on experience with GenAI tools and prompting.
* ** Quality-driven:
** Meticulous, analytical, and proactive in reducing error rates.
* ** Communication & collaboration:
** Able to give clear, constructive feedback and collaborate effectively with teams.
* ** Adaptability:
** Comfortable working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* Experience with a
** PIM system** (e.g., Stibo Systems STEP) is an asset.
