The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of the organization’s business systems, with a primary focus on the membership database & case management system. The Business Systems Analyst serves as the bridge between business needs and technical solutions: gathering requirements, configuring systems, improving processes, and supporting end users. They help ensure that organizational data and systems effectively support operations, decision-making, and strategic initiatives.

Business Systems Administration and Support

• Assists with the design, implementation, configuration, training, and ongoing support of business systems as assigned.
• Supports the management, monitoring, and maintenance of the membership database and case management system, to ensure accuracy, reliability, and accessibility.
• Manages application settings, user roles, permissions, forms, workflows, and business rules as required.
• Resolves system issues, provides end-user support, and coordinates with vendors and teams to resolve problems.
• Prepares and maintains system documentation, including workflows, configuration settings, data standards, and user guides.
• Supports testing, validation, and quality assurance during system updates, configuration changes, integrations, and upgrades.

Business Process Analysis

• Works with stakeholders to understand business processes, identify requirements, and translate them into system configurations, enhancements, or workflows.
• Analyzes existing business processes and recommends improvements supported by application functionality.
• Collaborates with leadership to ensure business applications align with organizational goals and evolving operational requirements.

Data Integrity & Reporting

• Collaboratively ensures systems meet data quality, security, and governance standards.
• Supports data integration efforts by coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure information flows correctly between systems (e.g., databases, data warehouses, APIs).
• Ensures data consistency, accuracy, and completeness within business applications through validation, auditing, and data cleanup activities.
• Prepares reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support decision-making, strategic planning, and operational activities.

Organizational Support

• Works with leadership to support an organizational approach to managing data as a strategic asset.
• Compiles reports and develops recommendations based on system data and findings.
• Supports cross-departmental projects and may be assigned work from other departments as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

The successful applicant must have:

• A certificate or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field, with ongoing upgrading and training, plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Diploma or greater preferred.
• Experience in business systems support, data management practices, and information workflows, including integration, data quality, and system optimization.
• Proficiency with databases, cloud applications (CRM), and data analysis or visualization tools.
• Experience with database technologies and applied knowledge of SQL or scripting tools for reporting and data validation.
