Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. To achieve this, we have developed The Globe® Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer‑valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.

We have obtained FDA approval and officially begun the commercial launch of the Globe® Pulsed Field System. This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life‑changing technology to patients!

As a member of the Post Market team, you will get hands‑on experience building dashboards from the ground up and applying data models to justify investigation decisions. The Data Scientist Co‑op will help transform raw customer feedback into actionable insights that guide regulatory compliance and product safety improvements.

Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Meaningful work you will be a part of

You will engage in activities that develop practical and transferable skills such as:

  • Design and develop dashboards from scratch using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Build data pipelines and models to ensure dashboards are scalable, accurate, and compliant.
  • Create visualizations that highlight complaint trends, product performance, and investigation outcomes.
  • Develop statistical and analytical models to support decision‑making in complaint investigations.
  • Apply trend analysis to detect recurring issues, emerging risks, and potential product safety concerns.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Engineering teams to align dashboards with compliance needs.
  • Other duties as required.

What you bring to the team

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:

  • Strong skills in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Experience with data modeling and analysis using SQL, Python, or R.
  • Knowledge of medical device regulations (FDA, ISO 13485, EU MDR) is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Enthusiasm toward finding innovative solutions to unforeseen challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Enrollment in post‑secondary program such as Bachelor of Science in Data Science, Master of Data Science, or other program related to Computer Science and Statistics.
