As the Manager, Systems Administration
, you’ll lead a skilled team responsible for managing enterprise systems across both on‑premises and cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. This hands‑on leadership role offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement, resolve escalated technical issues, and shape strategies for system effectiveness. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, and play a key part in supporting critical IT projects.

Interfor offers a competitive salary based on experience, skills, and qualifications, with an expected range of $117,000 – $155,000 (CAD) per year. We’re committed to creating careers where employees can contribute, grow, and thrive. In addition to base pay, you’ll enjoy:

- Systems Management: Optimize server infrastructure, virtualization, cloud services, and productivity tools; resolve service requests and incidents efficiently.
- Team Development: Mentor and support the systems administration team; manage schedules and foster collaboration.
- Performance Reporting: Provide accurate KPI reports and lead improvement initiatives; support systems‑related projects.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain IT support documentation and assist during outages.
- Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships and contracts for reliable, cost‑effective service.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced expertise in server administration, virtualization, cloud platforms, and enterprise productivity suites, with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Leadership: Proven leadership experience in developing technical teams and managing IT operations, including system upgrades and migrations.
- Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities, with a collaborative approach across departments.
- Education & Certification: Post‑secondary education in IT or Computer Science (or equivalent experience), plus professional certifications in cloud/virtualization technologies.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in systems administration and 5 years in IT leadership.
