The salary range for this position is CAD $30.96 - $30.96 / hour.

We are hiring for Relief Part Time Rehabilitation Assistant to join our Long-Term Care, Assisted Living & Specialized Populations team at Chenchenstway located in Burnaby, B.C.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, implement services for residents by carrying out established activation programs such as exercise, mobilization, seating and splinting. Report observations of residents in programs to the therapist(s) and as necessary, to other staff.

Provide information to volunteers in designated programs such as names of the residents involved and the equipment being used for the specific program.

Maintain Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy equipment and supplies by cleaning equipment, maintaining inventories and making recommendations to the therapists regarding purchase, general maintenance and repair of equipment and supplies.

Maintain a safe and orderly workstation.

Maintain statistical data and reports in accordance with departmental, organizational, and professional standards.

Participate in departmental or service meetings by providing feedback on services provided to residents as required.

Participate in Quality Improvement activities by providing input into service modifications or new programs, policies and procedures and participating in task groups as assigned.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to operate related equipment.
