    SENIOR BUDGET & FINANCIAL ANALYST:

    $86,007.24- $97,679.59 (Annually)

    Reporting to the assigned manager, the Senior Budget & Financial Analyst compiles and presents complex and comprehensive financial analyses, reports, and business cases for capital project-related submissions and participates in the annual budget process. He/she/they review and evaluate financial data and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness and presents findings to the assigned manager for review.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE:

    The successful candidate will have the following:

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, accounting, finance, or in a relevant subject field.
  • Extensive work experience in a high-volume computerized financial accounting environment carrying out complex financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting functions.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the employer.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting related qualifications

  • Member in good standing of the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Association.
  • Capital Project related qualifications

  • Extensive experience preparing and editing business cases, reports, proposals, and other formal written submissions.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Extensive knowledge of government decision-making and policy development processes and structures.
  • Ability to learn and understand mission-critical corporate enterprise applications and IT systems (i.e., JDE1, WebFOCUS, and SQL Server Analysis Services).
  • Ability to exercise attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy especially when working with numbers and dollars.
