Financial Accountant

The Financial Analyst is responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing for various Ritchie Brothers entities. The Analyst will carry out accurate and timely financial reporting while working with various stakeholders in the organization to obtain insights to execute on deliverables. The Financial Analyst will be expected to contribute to and support key initiatives including standardization and process improvements.

• 2+ years of Financial Analyst experience.

• Responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing for various Ritchie Brothers entities.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while collaborating with stakeholders to obtain insights for deliverables.
• Support key initiatives including standardization and process improvements.
• Prepare and comment on Balance Sheet and Net Income Statements.
• Review and prepare month-end journal entries.
• Prepare variance analyses for P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Complete monthly account reconciliations and compliance reporting.
• Ensure full compliance with SOX control requirements, including IPEs and WPs.
• Adhere to Corporate Accounting Policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
