Field Concrete Testing Technician

The opportunity

Metro Testing + Engineering is one of the busiest and largest Construction Materials Testing Lab in Western Canada. We are looking for people who want to start a career as a Concrete Field Testing Technician
. Our field concrete testing technicians visit multiple job sites daily and conduct testing before pouring the concrete. If you love to be on the road and meeting people, it could be your next opportunity.

No experience is required, and you will be trained by our experienced technicians and receive industry recognised certifications. You will be working at our Burnaby Branch Office.

Metro Testing + Engineering is one of the largest materials testing companies in Western Canada with 11 offices and over 250 employees. We work with a lot of high-profile clients in their residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.

• Test concrete before the pour and ensure they meet the specifications and industry standards
• Interpret the test results and produce reports
• Build relationships with site personnel to foster long term business collaboration
• Travel to job sites in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond, Coquitlam, Port Moody and Port Coquitlam.

• Hourly wage starts at $21/hr

• Interested in a career in the Construction Materials Testing industry
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
• Good command of the English language.
• Ability to lift and control weights up to 23 kgs / 50 lbs
• Experience as a General Labour/assistant is an asset
• Graduate of a civil engineering diploma/certificate program is an asset
