Construction Technologist

Match Box Consulting is on the hunt for a Construction Technologist. This Candidate Performs planning, estimating, scheduling, and field coordination for construction projects, providing technical guidance and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.

Contract:

1 Year

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and schedules; assess risks and recommend methods to optimize labor, equipment, and costs.

• Coordinate project activities, maintain progress data, and advise management on discrepancies or changes.

• Compile bid documents, procurement documentation, and maintain records of equipment, material, and production costs.

• Provide technical direction and coordination to field crews and project teams.

• Conduct minor drafting, surveys, and technical reporting.

• Apply knowledge of Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical disciplines and related standards/codes.

• Use project management and construction software; review reports and recommend actions.

• Lead or participate in project teams; communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

• Diploma of Technology or Degree in Engineering, Forestry, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, or a related trades qualification.

• Minimum 5 years of construction or project management experience (field or office).

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with own vehicle for site visits.

Must Haves:

• Class 5 driver’s license with own vehicle.

• Relevant Diploma, Degree, or trades qualification.

• 5+ years of construction/project management experience.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience supporting construction projects.
