Position Overview
Kiewit is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead environmental compliance, permitting, and sustainability initiatives across complex construction and engineering projects. The Environmental Manager will work closely with project leadership, field teams, regulatory agencies, and clients to ensure Kiewit meets or exceeds all environmental requirements while supporting safe, efficient project execution.
This role is ideal for a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and guide teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
District Overview
Kiewit’s Western Canada District is headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia. We primarily perform heavy civil projects specializing in earth moving, transportation, roadways, bridges, marine, and water resources. Our teams build projects across Western Canada and the USA, so a passion for travel and adventure is a must-have. This position will support the Woodfibre LNG project in Squamish, BC. Rotational travel is required.

Qualifications
7+ years of environmental management experience in construction, heavy civil, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
Solid understanding of environmental regulations (e.g., air, water, waste, hazardous materials, wildlife, wetlands).
Experience with regulatory agencies and environmental permitting processes.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach field teams and influence decision-making.
Willingness to travel and work on project sites as needed.
