About the Role:
As the
Senior Summer Camp Leader
, you’ll oversee all paddling sessions, ensuring they are safe, fun, and skill-building. Reporting to the
Club Program Coordinator
, you'll mentor staff, lead instruction, and create a positive learning environment for campers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead On-Water Activities
  – Deliver engaging paddling sessions, ensuring safety and skill development.
• Supervise & Mentor
  – Support Camp Leaders, providing guidance and best practices in instruction and safety.
• Enforce Safety Standards
  – Conduct pre-session briefings, monitor equipment, and respond to emergencies.
• Adapt Programming
  – Adjust activities for different skill levels, ages, and abilities.
• Collaborate with Camp Staff
  – Work with the Camp Coordinator to align programming with camp goals.
• Manage Equipment
  – Oversee preparation, distribution, and maintenance of paddling gear.
• Track Progress
  – Maintain records of attendance, achievements, and areas for improvement.

What You Bring:

• Experience in paddling instruction (
  Community Coach certification required
  ).
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Knowledge of water safety and risk management.
• First Aid/CPR certification (required).
• Passion for working with youth in an outdoor setting.
