Salary Range

Hourly: $52.41-$114.65/hour;
Per Three Credit Course: $7,947;
Actual salary or hourly rate will be based on the number of credits and term of appointment according to the Collective Agreement.

Responsibilities
  • plan, organize, and manage learning activities and maintain quality learner-centred instruction;
  • assess and evaluate students’ progress and achievement;
  • maintain currency in the field through professional development activity.
Qualifications
  • a minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience;
  • demonstrated professional experience in immersive audio for games;
  • extensive experience with sound design, music composition and production for games;
  • experience working with audio middleware (FMod, Wwise);
  • strong understanding of 3D audio spatialization within a game engine environment;
  • strong understanding of game audio implementation techniques;
  • experience implementing audio within a game engine (Unreal Engine 5, Unity, etc.);
  • a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population of learners;
  • excellent communication skills, demonstrated initiative and creativity, effective interpersonal skills, and self-directedness;
  • evidence of ongoing professional development;
  • a record of successful teaching at the post‑secondary level would be an asset.
Additional Information

Workload is assigned each year based on available sections. We anticipate offering MUSC 3272 in the Summer 2026 semester and MUSC 4272 in the Fall semester.
