Environment Project Manager - Construction & Remediation
AECOM is actively seeking a Project Manager with a strong construction background to support the Faro Mine Remediation Program, one of Canada’s largest and most complex mine-closure and remediation projects. This role focuses on construction oversight, earthworks, heavy civil works, and contractor coordination. The right candidate can work locally from our Burnaby, BC, Calgary AB or Edmonton, AB office and AECOM can provide hybrid work options to give the flexibility you need to do your best work.
This is a regular, full-time position.

Responsibilities
Below are example responsibilities you can expect when working within the AECOM team to deliver the project:
· Manage and execute construction related Task Authorizations (TAs).
· Lead TA specific meeting and coordinate with technical teams, Main Construction Manager, subcontractor and client teams.
· Develop and issue Notices of Work and construction execution documents.
· Track construction progress, resource plans and metrics.
· Participate in field programs and supervise construction activities.
· Review design documents, project deliverables and champion the quality review process.
· Review contractor submittals, RFIs and change directives.
· Manage budgets, forecasts, progress summaries, and reporting.
· Identify risks/issues and coordinate mitigation.
· Support field logistics, accommodations, vehicles, and mobilization.
· Accountable for compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
· Conduct site inspections, safety walks, and QA/QC audits.
· Coordinate meetings with PSPC and partners.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering (Civil, Chemical, Environmental etc.) or Construction Management; 6+ years of experience in mining, remediation and/or reclamation projects.
6+ years of construction project management experience.
Able to travel to Faro, Yukon
Preferred Qualifications
Below are examples of experience that would be an asset when working in this position:
P.Eng., PMP, CET, or Gold Seal Certification.
15+ years of experience directly with construction management
Experience with construction scheduling tools.
Strong change management and construction documentation management experience.
Experience with Federal Agencies such as Public Service and Procurement Canada.
Strong client management skills
Valid driver's license
Proficient with MS Office Suite; excellent knowledge of Project, Excel, and Word
Personal Attributes
Highly developed written communication, time management and organizational skills
Demonstrated interpersonal skills; conduct yourself with integrity, work within multi-disciplined teams, deal with complex issues, and maintain effective working relationships
Have a high level of initiative and enthusiasm for getting things done
