Position: Faculty, Marketing Essentials, Sales, and Risk Management Marketing and Sales

Position Summary

BCIT’s School of Business and Media is seeking a temporary, part-time (0.83 FTE) faculty member to teach in the marketing management diploma and related disciplines in a range of courses related to marketing essentials, business development, and leading consulting practices.

Duties & Responsibilities Courses may include but are not limited to: MKTG 1102 (Essentials of Marketing), RMGT 3535 (Marketing for Insurance and Risk Management), MKTG 3319 (Advanced Sales), RMGT 4535 (Sales for Insurance Professionals), MKTG 4418 (Business Consulting Projects).

Applicants should have 10+ years of experience in these fields in British Columbia, with specific career examples related to marketing, sales, lead generation, pipeline development and sales management. They will also have a minimum of two years’ experience teaching adults in a post-secondary (for credit) environment. Full qualifications are listed below. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree preferred, BCIT business diploma an asset.

10 years or more of experience working in large and small organizations to lead sales and marketing efforts and strategies in the areas of business development and account management.

Instructional experience at a polytechnic or similar applied institution is required.

An established network of relevant marketing contacts in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, and beyond.

Excellent English-language communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a collegial environment.
