Match Box Consulting Group is seeking a Project Controls Analyst/Coordinator to work on a 1 year contract, with a high potential of renewal, for one of BC's largest utility and clean energy companies.
This role will support project delivery teams by assisting with government claim submissions, cost validation, and the tracking of project funding and contributions. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, finance, and commercial teams to ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and compliance with funding requirements.
Location: Burnaby - Hybrid (Remote candidates can be submitted, but preference will be given to local candidates who are able to work in the office on a hybrid basis).
Key Responsibilities Government Claim SubmissionsSupport the preparation and submission of government funding claims for project delivery initiatives, including:
Summarizing data onto claim templates
Extracting data from internal systems and reviewing for admissibility
Gathering and organizing all supporting documentation required for each claim submission
Fulfilling audit requests by extracting additional data and documentation as required
Collaborating with project managers, commercial managers, finance, and other project team members to validate the admissibility of costs
Assist with the tracking and review of customer funding and project contributions, including:
Supporting accrual submissions
Extracting and reviewing data from internal systems to assist with tracking and reporting
Working with project managers, interconnections managers, finance, and other stakeholders to validate costs and ensure accurate reporting
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
- A minimum five (5) years of project management experience or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with a utility
- SAP experience
- Coding or data automation experience
- Accounting or financial analysis experience
