Contracts Management Student Analyst - COOP

In this role you will:
- Support the contracts and procurement groups at all phases of the sourcing cycle, including Request for Proposals (RFP)/Request for Quotations (RFQ), Proposal Evaluations, Awards, and Contract Administration.
- Specific responsibilities include ensuring the completeness of RFP/RFQ documents, recording the proponent’s/bidder’s communication during the RFP/RFQ stage, and maintaining communication and records during contract administration and closeout.
- Provide administrative support for the procurement team, ensuring appropriate control systems and procedures are followed.
- Document and compliance verification on existing agreements
- Developing and issuing reports and updates as required
- Support in various contracting activities
- Support the Procurement team in time-intensive activities like data analysis and verification.
- Identify cost savings opportunities as suggested by the Procurement team initiatives.
- Meeting note preparation, tracking of action items, filing and record-keeping
- Report preparation and customization.
- Must be currently enrolled in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an co-op undergraduate degree ( or minor) in Business, preferably in a Supply Chain Management focus.
- Very strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Very well organized, thorough, and attentive to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Energetic self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience with Oracle Fusion and/ or Maximo
- Experience with a Contract Management system
- Familiarity the fundamentals of buying, contract development/formation and contract administration (preference, not a requirement)
- Familiarity with the laws of contracting (preference, not a requirement)
- Fluent in English.
- Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.
