The Ceremonies and Events Office (C&E) advances Simon Fraser University's strategic vision by producing and managing key university celebrations and milestone events including convocation and the university's high-profile presidential, institutional, advancement, alumni, ceremonial, government and partner events. Delivering approximately 70 events annually, locally, nationally and internationally, the department also ensures that ceremony and event protocols and traditions are maintained at events.
About the Role
The Event Registration Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining guest lists for numerous high profile university events. They provide accurate and consistent data and reports for these guest lists, as well as interacting with prospective guests and event stakeholders, responding to inquiries by phone and email. Duties include processing event registrations and payments, reconciling accounts following the events, and maintaining event databases for multiple special events simultaneously.
The Event Registration Coordinator attends events to provide on-site guest services by managing the registration table, greeting guests and assisting the Event Manager in providing overall event support.

Qualifications
High school graduation and one year of post-secondary education or formal program equivalent with courses in database, word processing, and spreadsheet applications, and office procedures. Minimum 3 years of experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable.
