We have obtained FDA approval and officially begun the commercial launch of the Globe® Pulsed Field System. This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life-changing technology to patients!

Kardium has a new exciting new opportunity for a Project Assistant to join our growing operation. We currently have close to 225,000 square feet of office, manufacturing, and warehouse space spread out between ten buildings in the same business park with multiple construction and renovation projects running concurrently. You will report to the Project Coordinator and will work closely with the Facilities, Janitorial, and Catering teams.

Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Meaningful work you will be a part of

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide support to Facilities projects by maintaining folders, documents, and shared trackers, including basic project budget tracking
  • Support seating plan updates and coordinate with HR, hiring managers/teams, and IT
  • Assign lockers (employee communications and audits)
  • Manage contractor access cards and master keys
  • Order office supplies, furniture, kitchen supplies, appliances, small equipment, signage and nameplates, flags, company photos, etc.
  • Maintain and update the Facilities SharePoint site and Maintain

    X (facilities ticketing software) as needed
  • Support meeting coordination: schedule meetings, take notes, and track action items
  • Coordinate deliveries and ensure items are received, distributed, and/or installed at the correct locations
  • Follow-up on vendor communication for quotes, basic scope clarification, and scheduling
  • Manage the Kardium EV chargers in conjunction with the external vendor
  • Perform office walkthroughs to identify issues and improvement opportunities (tidiness, small fixes) and log for follow-up
  • Support organization of team events ( logistics , supplies, room setup coordination)
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the Catering, Facilities, and Janitorial teams as needed

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience coordinating and assisting with construction and renovation projects in a collaborative environment OR alternatively an administrative background with extensive experience and strong interest in construction, property management, facilities, or other relevant industry.
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field is desirable, e.g. project management, facilities, building management, engineering, etc.
  • Extremely strong organization skills and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.) as well as Visio; familiarity with Maintain

    X is a bonus.
