Job Description

As a Project Accountant at EXP, you will support engineering and design projects through accurate financial reporting and analysis, working in a fast‑paced environment that values diversity, sustainability, and employee ownership.

Responsibilities
  • Manage project accounting activities including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Prepare and review monthly project financial reports and variance analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and client contract requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor financial performance and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process invoices, track billings, and manage accounts receivable for assigned projects.
  • Support internal audits and assist with year‑end financial processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project accounting or financial management, preferably in engineering or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and project cost control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Deltek or similar preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • CPA designation or working toward CPA is an asset.
Salary

$75,000 – $80,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on candidate skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
