Student Nurse Tech

Are you a Nursing Student in your last Semester or waiting to take the NCLEX? Start your new Nursing Career with Burlington TODAY!

Get your foot in the door as a Nursing Student Tech, working with a diverse aging population at Burlington Health and Rehab. As a Nursing Student Tech, you will be working under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON) or the Unit Manager and receive hands-on experience.

* This position requires active enrollment or completion of the nursing program (LPN or RN program) and have completed Pharmacology with a current CNA Certificate*

Responsibilities include by not limited to:

• Answer resident call lights
• Transport residents between designates areas
• Pass out medication and charting
• Assist the Charge Nurse in various direct patient care

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a Nursing Program and have completed Pharmacology or have completed the program
• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and techniques
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a diverse aging population

The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Duties include, but are not limited to changing linen, transferring, transporting, feeding and grooming patients.

Requirements:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Wisconsin and in good standing

• Great customer service skills

• Passion to work with the aging population

• Great communications skills

• Able to work rotating weekends and holidays
