Messer Operator

Description

American Bin and Conveyor is looking for a Messer Table Operator. This position will be responsible for operating the Messer Machine to fabricate parts and perform various other duties. Must have organizational skills, be detail oriented and can work with guidance in a team environment. Must be forklift certified or be able to obtain certification and have ability to operate overhead crane.

Must be able to perform tasks accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining all Company safety standards.

• Interpret Blueprints to determine what is needed to perform the task.
• Using overhead crane, position work piece onto Plasma Table for processing.
• Use a tape measure to ensure proper dimensions according to documented print.
• Clean parts, kit and organize according to drawings
• Examine completed component for defects e.g., deformed edges marred surfaces.
• All other duties assigned by management.

• Ability to read a ruler/tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch.
• Ability to add, subtract and simplify fractions.
• Will be able to understand basic blueprints.
• Ability to operate a forklift, overhead crane and jib hoist. (will train)
• Ability to operate pneumatic and electric grinders and basic hand tools
