Job SummaryA Physical Therapist Assistant assists in administering physical therapy to patients and residents in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist and Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Manager.

- Assist the physical therapist in providing treatment to patients with various conditions and injuries
- Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities under the direction of the physical therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- A graduate of an approved education course for physical therapy assistants.
- Licensed, if applicable, in the state in which they will be practicing.
- Must not be excluded or sanctioned from state or federal program.
- Demonstrate professional attitude and appearance.
- Proficient administrative and communication within department and facility and company.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in the practice of their discipline.
- Display working knowledge of multidisciplinary practice scopes in the Outpatient, ALF, ILF or LTC setting.
- Thorough knowledge of all payer source documentation and payment requirements.
- Ability to use analytical skills to develop outcome driven solutions.
- Prior EMR/computer experience
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand, stoop, squat, bend, lift, push, pull, balance, and perform overhead activity without restriction or limitation.
