Our client is a growing solar manufacturing company and they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead their maintenance operations in a highly automated production environment. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who can balance people leadership, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance activities for production equipment
- Oversee installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of automated systems
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Support and maintain PM/PD programs using CMMS software
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and leadership on process improvements
- Monitor parts inventory, costs, and departmental budgets
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and report progress to management
- Provide hands‑on technical support to production teams as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Develop, motivate, and lead a team of maintenance technicians
Required:
- 2–3+ years of experience in a maintenance leadership role (18+ direct reports)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
- Working knowledge of PLCs and industrial PCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCAT)
- Experience with CMMS, scheduling, reporting, and resource planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with ABB robots
- Background in highly automated manufacturing environments
