Summary of PositionThe Quality Technician II is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance throughout the manufacturing process. This role is more advanced than a Quality Technician I and requires hands‑on experience with inspection methods, quality data analysis, and supporting production teams in meeting quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Verify production and assembly processes adhere to established standards, procedures, and legal requirements
- Review blueprints, specifications, and drawings to ensure conformance of finished products
- Record inspection results, document rework and scrap, and enter data into quality databases
- Train and support production teams on quality control methods and best practices
- Identify and propose process improvements to reduce defects and waste
- Monitor equipment usage to ensure safety and compliance with quality standards
- Perform quality testing at various stages of the manufacturing process
- Collect, compile, and analyze statistical quality data
- Assist with the development of inspection plans and test methods
- Determine root causes of product defects and scrap
- Verify proper calibration of inspection and measurement equipment
- Perform quality inspections on raw materials, work‑in‑process, and finished products per Work Instructions
- Recommend improvements to Work Instructions to enhance product quality and process performance
- Support production staff with quality and process issues in coordination with management
- Create quality reports and statistical analyses as required
- Maintain and use measurement instruments in accordance with Work Instructions and safety standards
- Monitor and audit manufacturing operations and recommend improvements to quality control tools
- Provide regular quality status updates to management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experience working with quality data and statistical tools
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment

- Manufacturing experience in a technical or quality‑focused role
