Responsibilities- Provide direct patient intervention by delivering health and wellness services consistent with state and federal laws.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive pharmacy environment.
- Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and performing billing procedures.
- Answer phone calls, triage inquiries, and provide timely customer support.
- Process vendor coupons, cash shortages, and electronic fund transactions following company policies.
- Prepare and dispense products using company best practices, including ordering from primary and secondary wholesalers.
- Adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and company confidentiality standards.
- Support health and wellness initiatives and uphold food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Keep work stations and customer waiting areas clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
- Interact with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults with understanding and integrity.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Meet state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Previous comparable experience or a pharmacy clerk background.
- Comfort with electronic prescription (EPRN) systems.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations governing pharmacy operations.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a high‑pace, sometimes stressful environment.
- Strong conflict‑resolution skills and a commitment to honesty and integrity.
- Experience with cash register operation, tendering electronic funds, and adhering to shrink guidelines.
- Familiarity with central fill deliveries and maintaining supplier order accuracy.
- Proficiency in following company guidelines for vending, vendor coupon acceptance, and cash handling.
- Support health and wellness initiatives and maintain departmental standards.
- Comfort in providing assistance to a diverse customer base, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
