Responsibilities
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all types of exterior building envelope systems in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications, University guidelines, and normal trade practices. Access information utilizing appropriate software applications. Promote a workplace culture that encourages safety within the shop and in the field. Communicate problems and repair protocols/time frames to building occupants. Update records accordingly. Operate a university vehicle.
May be required to operate an aerial lift. Report to Zone Supervisor and actively engage in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer experience.
High School Diploma and four years of roofing experience and experience working with other trade services. Proficient knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety, and equipment safety required. Experience using computers and mobile technology. Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain and driver’s check required. Ability to stand/walk on roofs and scaffolding, climb ladders and heights and steep angles on a regular basis.
Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ) when performing specific job functions. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of background check and physical screening.
Anticipated Pay Range $26.00-$27.00/hour
