- Shift: 12‑hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule:
Every other weekend; flexible to meet unit and patient needs - Holiday Coverage:
Work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day) - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,990 - $2,130
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience in a large, teaching hospital
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
- Certifications:
AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – NIHSS required before start - Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
- Reliable transportation required; public transportation not available in this area
- Vehicle must have all‑season or snow tires (November–April)
- Explain all employment gaps over 90 days
- Complete work history (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) required for submission
- Provide high‑quality nursing care to neurosurgical and surgical patients on the M5/McClure 5 unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic EMR
- Adapt to schedule changes, including weekend and holiday coverage, to meet patient care needs
- Participate in bi‑weekly orientation and ongoing professional development for nursing staff
