Description:

As an RN in our fast‑paced 32‑bed post‑operative unit, you will care for a mixed population of orthopedic patients. The team is a collaborative mix of RNs, LNAs, unit secretaries, nursing students, physical and occupational therapists, case managers, quality partners, medical students, residents, and attendings who work together to provide Miller 6 patients with the highest quality care. We have state‑of‑the‑art rooms with beautiful views of the UVM campus and Lake Champlain.

Every room is equipped with a ceiling lift and plenty of space for families and for doing physical therapy. We primarily treat post‑surgical patients, including trauma, total hip & knee replacements, hip fractures, and spine patients. Nurses are encouraged to grow professionally through orthopedic‑specific certifications and also have the opportunity to advance through the Clinical Advancement and Recognition Program (CARP).

On‑call: Not required.

• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
• ADN required, BSN preferred.
• Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
