Note:
This role is not remote and requires in-person work. A flexible part-time schedule begins in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season; from January to April, transition to full-time with evening and weekend hours as needed.
Responsibilities include leading three H&R Block tax offices and developing customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.

- Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three offices.
- Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information, and manage associate work schedules and timekeeping across all offices.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment (if applicable).
- People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
- Aptitude for executing growth plans and fostering a growth-oriented culture.
- Strong decision-making, judgment, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with support from the Associate Relations Center.
- Build an engaging team environment across offices through training and coaching.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management across all offices.
- Travel between offices as required.

Pay range: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Pay decisions depend on experience, education, skills, and location. Eligible employees may participate in incentive plans and benefits described above.
