Senior Product Engineer & Technical Lead

Myti is a local-first online marketplace and delivery platform built to keep money circulating in local communities. Our mission is simple: build a local alternative to Amazon.

As big-box ecommerce drains money from communities, consumers are increasingly looking for ways to shop in line with their values without giving up convenience. Myti exists to fill that gap, with an intentionally local marketplace model designed to scale across communities.

We’re entering a critical next phase of growth and are looking for a senior, product-minded engineer to help define how Myti’s technology, systems, and platform evolve.

The Role

This role is best described as atechnical co-pilotto Myti’s founder.

You’ll be responsible not only for building Myti’s technology but also for shaping the company's technical direction. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants real ownership—over architecture, product decisions, and how engineering supports Myti’s mission and growth.

You'll work closely with leadership, shop partners, and users to identify problems worth solving and ship solutions that balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

A core part of this role isthoughtfully leveraging AI-assisted development toolsto improve productivity and decision-making—without sacrificing clarity, code quality, or user experience. We see tools like Claude Code and similar assistants as accelerators for good engineering, not substitutes for it.

What You’ll Own

• Key technical decisions for Myti's platform and supporting systems that balance velocity, reliability, scalability, and values alignment.
• Translation of company strategy and operational needs into clear technical priorities
• Ongoing evolution of Myti's ecommerce, logistics, and data infrastructure
• Close collaboration with leadership on roadmap, resourcing, and growth planning

What You’ll Do Day to Day

• Build and ship core product features based on direct customer and partner feedback
• Design and improve APIs, data models, and integrations with ecommerce and logistics platforms
• Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development, debugging, research, and documentation where it adds real value
• Improve system reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Establish best practices for development, deployment, documentation, and AI-assisted workflows
• Serve as a technical thought partner to non-technical teammates

Experience & Skills

• Deep experience building and maintaining production web applications
• Strong comfort across front-end, back-end, and system architecture
• Experience designing systems that scale or preparing platforms for growth
• Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, logistics systems, or marketplaces is a plus
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, or strong curiosity and openness to doing so
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business and operational realities

• Compensation:Competitive base salary with a sliding equity component, aligned with experience and ownership expectations
