Title: MRI Technologist (MRI Tech)
Location: Burlington, VT
Duration: 13 weeks (assignment may extend up to 32 weeks)
Shift: Night shift | 3x12 hours | 19:00 – 07:00
- Perform MRI examinations for adult patients in acute care and outpatient settings
- Conduct imaging of the abdomen, pelvis, chest, breast, head, neck, brain, and spine
- Perform advanced MRI procedures including diffusion imaging, gradient echo imaging, perfusion studies, and image post-processing
- Complete multiplanar reconstructions and apparent diffusion coefficient (Client) mapping
- Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment from Client, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, and PACS systems
- Maintain patient safety, including strict adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Ensure high-quality image acquisition and accurate documentation in Epic
- Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Administer MRI procedures across cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine studies
- Demonstrate age-specific competency for young adult, middle adult, and older adult populations
- Work flexible schedules, including 1–2 weekends per month
- Work at least 2 designated major holidays during the assignment as required
- Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification (advanced MRI licensure required)
- BLS certification
- Epic charting experience within the past 2 years (required and non-negotiable)
- Philips MRI equipment experience required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Prior travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
- Ability to perform advanced MRI imaging and post-processing techniques
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and patient care protocols
- Reliable personal transportation required (public transportation not accessible)
- Ability to work night shifts and maintain schedule flexibility
- Additional MRI equipment experience (Client, Siemens, Toshiba)
- Prior experience in adult acute care imaging environments
