The role involves repairing, calibrating, installing, and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of complex medical instruments, and providing repair service, performance inspection and customer support as part of the management of clinical technology at Central Vermont Medical Center, Berlin, VT.

• Repair, calibrate, install and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of complex medical instruments.
• Provide repair service, performance inspection and customer support for clinical technology at Central Vermont Medical Center, Berlin, VT.

• Associate degree in Biomedical Technology, Electronics or related field with one to two years related experience.
• Effective communication, customer service and computer skills.
• Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one; driver's check required.
• Lifting up to 70 lbs. occasionally required. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions.

• Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician desirable.

• Anticipated pay range: $23/hr – $30/hr.
• FLSA:
  Non-Exempt.
• Union position:
  Yes, UVMSU.
• Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime).
• Travel to and from worksites required.
• Background check required.
• Post-offer pre-employment (POPE) physical examination is required.
