The Mental Health Technician is a member of the interdisciplinary team on Inpatient Psychiatry. Duties include maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, documenting patient care, and managing emergency situations. Work is performed in accordance with hospital policies and procedures under the direction and supervision of the nurse manager. The role also supports mental health constant observation on other hospital floors as needed.
EducationHigh school graduate or GED required. AS or BS degree in mental health or human services related field preferred.
ExperiencePatient care experience and experience with mental health preferred.
ShiftsPart Time (20 hours per week) available.
Additional DetailsMust have full‑time availability for the first week of employment to attend orientations.
