• Mentor, develop, and elevate an accounting team to drive accuracy, accountability and operational efficiency
• Establish clear performance expectations and team structure
• Promote a collaborative, service-oriented finance culture supporting resort operations

• Oversee core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury and general ledger activities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies and control frameworks
• Identify and improve legacy or inefficient financial processes

• Own and lead the month-end close process with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and present financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Maintain audit readiness and resolve historical accounting matters as needed

• Lead annual budgeting in collaboration with resort leadership
• Provide rolling forecasts, variance analysis and actionable business insights
• Support data-driven operational and strategic decision‑making

• Evaluate, implement, and optimize accounting, ERP and property management systems
• Streamline manual workflows through automation, documentation and standardized procedures
• Improve reporting transparency and operational efficiency

• Partner closely with resort leadership to support operational and financial initiatives
• Contribute to margin improvement, cost control and performance optimization
• Support alignment with broader organizational finance initiatives and best practices

• Four years or more of progressive accounting experience, ideally within hospitality or multi-location service environments
• Over three years of experience supporting hotels, resorts or similar operational businesses
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing accounting staff (two or more direct reports)
• Strong financial reporting, internal control and close management expertise
• Hands‑on experience with accounting or property management systems and advanced
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach
• Willingness and enthusiasm to relocate to Vermont and engage in a community‑focused, outdoor‑oriented environment
