CFO - Chief Financial Officer

Description We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Burlington, Vermont, this role requires a strategic leader with exceptional financial expertise to oversee key financial operations and drive organizational success. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-level decision-making and ensure effective capital management.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and analyze cash flow to optimize financial performance and ensure sufficient liquidity.

- Develop and implement strategies for effective capital management to support organizational goals.

- Manage month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.

- Supervise financial reporting activities, delivering timely and precise reports to stakeholders.

- Evaluate and refine business systems to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

- Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategies with organizational objectives.

- Monitor financial risks and implement measures to safeguard company assets.

- Drive budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.

- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.

- Lead and mentor financial teams, fostering growth and collaboration. Requirements - Extensive experience in cash flow analysis and financial planning.

- Proven expertise in capital management strategies and practices.

- Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting.

- Familiarity with evaluating and improving business systems.

- Demonstrated ability to align financial strategies with organizational goals.

- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate with executives.

- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance and financial policies.
