Financial Specialist

This position is onsite located at our offices in South Burlington, VT.

The Financial Specialist is responsible for the maintenance of the UVM Health Network financial reporting and budgeting software application (Axiom). This includes but is not limited to loading, validating, and distributing financial data and KPIs within the application. The incumbent is responsible for accurate and timely fiscal reporting to a variety of areas and will be the primary contact for their assigned affiliate.

They will be a resource for training users in the budget application, budget report interpretation, budget workbook functionality, as well as report generation/distribution for actual to budget monitoring. Data normalization, monthly analysis, special projects also components of this position.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, IT, or related discipline preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities were acquired will be considered.

Experience that demonstrates knowledge and familiarity with general finance or health care finance, accounting and budgeting. Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheets required. Prior experience with Axiom, report writing, or database management preferred.
