Overview
Head Start is a federally-funded, national child and family development program which provides comprehensive services for pregnant women, children from birth to age five, and their families. Services for children promote school readiness, and include early education, health, nutrition, mental health, and services for children with special needs. Services for parents promote family engagement, and include parent leadership and social service supports.
Opportunities- Saint Albans Early Learning Center – Early Head Start Toddler Teacher
This is a full‑time, 40‑hour‑per‑week, full‑year (52‑week) position. The starting 60‑day probationary wage is $23.73–$28.08 per hour and increases to $24.07–$28.76 per hour after the 60‑day probationary period, depending on qualifications. Health plan and excellent benefits included.
- Franklin Square Early Learning Center – Preschool Teacher Associate
This is a full‑time, 40‑hour‑per‑week position for approximately 42 weeks per year (summer layoff). The 60‑working‑day probationary wage is $22.96–$23.73 per hour; after 60 working days, the wage increases to $23.29–$24.07 per hour, depending on qualifications. Includes health plan and excellent benefits.
